Dotty is fired from her job as a carhop because she attracts too much male attention. She flirts with Toni and asks him to get her a job in his family’s store but his father won’t agree. She dates Elmer, who gives her numerous gifts, but her mother sends them back. Decent, hardworking Terry buys the drive-in and hires Dotty back, and will also be her boyfriend.
