Tech Jacket #2

The second issue of Image Comics' Tech Jacket puts the armored hero front and center, suit gleaming in silver and green as he unleashes a brilliant blast of energy from one gauntlet while bracing with the other — his expression fierce and determined. Surrounding him are three circular inset sketches hinting at the broader story world: a figure in a doorway, a confrontational scene with multiple characters, and what appears to be an organic explosion of some kind. Robert Kirkman and E. J. Su are building something genuinely compelling here, and this December 2002 cover — penciled and inked by Su — makes a strong case for following along.
