Team Zero #1
This first issue of the six-part WildStorm series sets the stage with a cover by Doug Mahnke and Sandra Hope that immediately announces a brutal, wartime tone — a heavily armed, battle-scarred soldier grips an unconscious or struggling figure in a chokehold, knife in hand, while red anti-tank obstacles and stormy skies frame the confrontation. Chuck Dixon brings his signature military storytelling to this 2006 series, with Mahnke's muscular linework giving every element a raw, kinetic weight. If gritty covert-ops action is your thing, "Part One" looks like a very promising place to start.
