Sir Monty Montaban är på väg till en afrikansk fredskonferens när hans plan blir kapat och han blir kidnappad av Mean McKean, Big Ray och deras kumpaner. Planet kraschlandar i djungeln. Tarzan försöker hjälpa dem, men blir själv tillfångatagen. Snart blir gruppen överfallen av Kray-stammen, anförda av medicinmannen Iasa, som behöver människooffer till sin stormgud. Tarzan poserar som stormguden, men hamnar i en strid som får en dödlig utgång för Iasa. Stormen är över, de onda männen är döda och kultplatsen förstörd. Tarzan hjälper sir Monty till fredskonferensen.
