Tarzan #10
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeMarvel's Tarzan: Lord of the Jungle #10 from 1978 puts the Ape-Man front and center in a cover by John Buscema and Tony DeZuniga that crackles with raw energy — a muscle-coiled Tarzan stands his ground against a roaring lion on one side and a swarm of armed men at his feet, while a background vignette shows Jane Clayton in the grip of a great ape. The story title "The Deadly Peril of Jane Clayton" sets the stakes immediately, and the cover's promise that Tarzan "battles man and beast in his greatest epic ever" makes it easy to see why Roy Thomas and John Buscema's run on this title generated genuine excitement. A fine snapshot of Marvel's 1978 adventure comics at their most kinetic.
