Dr. Rivits kills Vic before he can shoot Tara because he wants her alive as a hostage. He ties up Tara so he can go back to working with the alien in finding out the secrets of the universe. Tara breaks free and goes after Dr. Rivits. The alien casts Tara into a parallel universe. Tara sees a strange alien animal in trouble and rescues it. Evidently this was a test as Tara is then pulled back to the Dark Continent. Dr. Rivits tries to fly away but the alien blows up his helicopter, and then flies away in his own spacecraft. Tara and Janis find four eggs that the alien spacecraft left behind.
