Tanguy en Laverdure #32
The long-running Belgian aviation series reaches its 32nd volume with "De Sabel van de Woestijn" (The Saber of the Desert), brought to life by writers Patrice Buendia and Frédéric Zumbiehl with art and cover by Sébastien Philippe. The cover sets a vivid desert-warfare mood: a pilot crouches in the foreground against a backdrop of burning wreckage and rugged red rock, while a fully armed fighter jet streaks overhead through a smoke-tinged orange sky, a second aircraft visible in the distance. Philippe's linework captures both the grit of the terrain and the kinetic energy of military aviation that has always defined Tanguy en Laverdure.
