A solitary armed man stands with his back to us atop a rooftop, gazing out over a sprawling, hazy cityscape — it's a quietly tense image that sets the mood for "De stroom van drie grenzen," the sixth chapter of this Belgian crime series from Le Lombard. Writer Matz and artist Philippe Xavier continue their collaboration here, with Xavier's cover linework conveying a brooding atmosphere of isolation and vigilance against a warm, dusty sky. If you've been following Tango, this 2021 installment looks like exactly the kind of slow-burn thriller the series does so well.
