The fourth chapter of Didier Convard and Jean-Yves Delitte's Tanātos series arrives with a striking cover by Delitte: a heavily armored, black-clad figure crouches on a metal structure against a brooding, smoke-tinged sky — every detail radiating coiled tension and threat. Colorists Jean-Yves Delitte and Frédérique Avril bathe the scene in deep blues and amber, giving the title "Parijs onder vuur" — Paris Under Fire — a palpable sense of smoldering danger. If this 2011 Glénat release is any indication, this Franco-Belgian series has serious visual ambition to match its ominous premise.
