Elizabeth's life was filled with tragedy. Her parents had been killed prior to her marriage to Gerald, then her children all died at a young age. When Elizabeth discovers that Gerald had been behind all the deaths, she makes a deal with Baba Yaga. After sacrificing hundreds of women to the Dark One, she is sent to Wonderland where she is remade as Rose. Gerald is also sent there where he will suffer eternal torment in Rose's garden for having taken away her children.
