An anthology of biblical tales featuring two stories: "From Slave to Prince," which follows Daniel, a young Israelite taken captive by the Babylonians after the fall of Jerusalem, as he and his friends are transported through the desert to Babylon, where they endure hardships but maintain their faith by refusing the king's food and helping fellow captives. "The Story of Samson" depicts Samson's miraculous rise from a lifeless beast form, his journey to Timnath, his encounter with Philistine maidens who plot against him, and his wedding to a bride noted for her wit, during which Samson makes a wager involving riddles.

Young Daniel's Faith
23 pp · Religious

When young Daniel and his companions are captured during Nebuchadnezzar's siege of Jerusalem in 604 B.C., they're torn from their home and marched across the desert to the magnificent city of Babylon, where they face a test of faith far more challenging than mere survival. Taken into King Nebuchadnezzar's service with the promise of royal education, Daniel must grapple with a terrible choice: obey the Babylonian law demanding he bow to the king, or honor his faith and face death. His resolve and that of his friends will determine not just their fates, but whether their devotion to God can endure in a land of strangers.

The Saga of Samson
9 pp · Religious

Samson, destined by God to challenge Philistine rule, sets his heart on marrying a Philistine woman—a choice that ignites fierce debate among his own people. When he travels to complete the marriage arrangements, his extraordinary strength is tested both by a lion on the road and by the cunning schemes of his bride's kinsmen, who challenge him with a riddle and a wager. What unfolds is a tale of wit, betrayal, and the first sparks of Samson's conflict with the Philistines, told here by John Lehti in a bold retelling of a timeless saga.
