From Dupuis comes this delightful 2009 Belgian humor series, with cover art by David De Thuin depicting a frantic little man backed against a barbed-wire fence as a massive, glowing bull towers over him beneath a stormy, lightning-filled sky. The contrast between the tiny, wide-eyed fellow and the enormous, electrified beast sets a wonderfully absurd comic tone that feels immediately promising. Written by Raoul Cauvin, "De klaagzang van de stierkoe" looks like a fine start to what could be a charmingly chaotic rural adventure.
