Sword Master #11

Issue eleven of Marvel's Sword Master plunges headlong "Into the Tomb of Chiyou," and the cover by Gunji sets the stakes beautifully — a red-scarfed young warrior brandishes a glowing green sword in the foreground while a blue-clad companion channels swirling arcane energy behind him, both of them dwarfed by a massive, looming monstrous presence in the shadows. Gunji's manga-influenced linework gives the whole composition a kinetic urgency that feels right at home in this mythology-steeped corner of the Marvel universe. This 2020 issue also carries a heartfelt tribute to Chadwick Boseman, making it a quietly meaningful chapter in the series.
