This anthology issue contains multiple love stories. The first story follows a woman who suspects her boyfriend of cheating after he makes their relationship seem miserable, but she discovers through a chance meeting that he has actually been planning a surprise for her. In another story titled "True Love," Ellen Bryce struggles with her mother's pressure to marry the wealthy and accomplished Ralph Kolman, but ultimately realizes she cannot force herself to marry him despite his suitability, leading her to gently refuse his proposal. A third story depicts a conflict between a young woman named Lora and her father over her choice to stay home rather than pursue education and independence, with her father eventually accepting her decision to remain at home.

A New Love
5 pp · Romance

Ellen thought she could wait for Gus to build his fortune before announcing their engagement, but his obsession with success and the "right people" transforms him into someone she barely recognizes—hard, pompous, and willing to abandon her for Corinne Hall, whose father's influence promises to accelerate his climb. When Ray, a steady design engineer at Briggs' plant, offers Ellen a glimpse of a different kind of life, she must decide what truly matters to her heart.

The Gift of Faith
5 pp · Romance

Marion suspects her husband Frank of infidelity when she notices another woman's perfume on him, and her jealousy spirals when she keeps catching him with his coworker Pam—though each encounter has an innocent explanation she can't see. When a misunderstanding finally forces them to the breaking point, Frank and Marion must choose whether to trust each other or let doubt destroy their marriage. A tender reminder that sometimes what we fear most blinds us to the truth standing right in front of us.

The Shy Casanova
5 pp · Romance

Anne has always noticed the charming Bob Tolen around town—until a misunderstanding at a dance makes her think he's just another heartbreaker. When she discovers Bob is actually shy and genuinely interested in her, Anne finds herself drawn to the sweet, bashful side he's been hiding all along. What starts as Anne's cold shoulder turns into something neither of them expected.

Hero Worship
5 pp · Romance

When Claire was thirteen, she idolized Flash Nadler, her brother's star football teammate—so much so that she filled a scrapbook with his pictures and dreamed of marrying him someday. Years later, after moving away and building a career at an ad agency, Claire runs into Flash again and decides it's time to finally shake off her childhood crush by proving he's just an ordinary guy. What she discovers instead forces her to reconsider everything she thought she'd outgrown.

Freedom to Love
5 pp · Romance
