This issue contains three romantic stories. "No Replacement for Love" follows Phyllis as she reconnects with an old flame, Carl Nevens, when he returns to town, but discovers he is now preoccupied with thoughts of his child and financial responsibilities, leading him to reject her romantic advances. "I Loved a Jet Pilot" depicts a woman's relationship with a military pilot who, after his discharge, reveals his true nature as a simple farm boy with modest tastes, disappointing her expectations of glamorous city life. "The Awakening" tells of Wendy and Steve's separation when he must pursue his medical degree, but after three years he returns and proposes, and they plan their future together, with Steve's boxing career having earned him substantial income to support their marriage.
