Floris Oudshoorn's fourth volume of his charmingly offbeat Swamp Thing series from Dutch publisher Oog & Blik arrives with a wonderfully chaotic cover: a towering pile of cartoon elephants, a bird, and other quirky creatures come crashing through road signs aboard a tiny purple car, while a grumpy crescent moon looks on from the night sky. It's the kind of gleefully anarchic cartooning that reminds you comics can be pure, uninhibited fun — and Oudshoorn handles every line, color, and letter himself, making this a genuine one-person labor of love from 2011.
