“The Man Who Lost His Head!”

Fifty-two pages of thrills and chills await in this May 1950 Marvel anthology, with cover pencils by Sol Brodsky and inks by Christopher Rule bringing the scene dramatically to life. The cover pulls you straight into "The Black Pit," where a group of hard-hat tunnel workers recoil in a glowing underground cavern as a ghostly, luminous woman beckons them forward — speech balloons crackling with panic and mystery. Sidebar vignettes tease additional stories inside, including "The Man Who Lost His Head!," "The Forbidden Room," and "The Creature Who Didn't Exist!" — all based on the gripping CBS radio and television series that made Suspense a household name.
