Superman / Wonder Woman #12

Part of the "Superman: Doomed — Aftermath" crossover, this December 2014 issue puts the power couple of the New 52 front and center in a cover by Tony S. Daniel that crackles with urgency. Superman lunges forward fist-raised, cape whipping dramatically behind him, while Wonder Woman charges at his side, sword drawn and golden armor gleaming against a backdrop of fire and debris. Crouched in the lower corner is a third figure — a bald, smirking woman in black — whose calm expression amid all that chaos makes her presence all the more intriguing.
