“Book Four”

Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #4 presents one of the most wonderfully strange covers of 2026 — a grid-panel layout surrounding Clark Kent mid-shirt-tear, his chest bearing the placeholder text "Insert Kryptonian Symbol for Hope Here," which says everything about the playful, self-aware tone W. Maxwell Prince and Martín Morazzo are bringing to this series. The surrounding panels tease a wild cast of oddities: a rainbow-visored figure who sees "the world in five dimensions," a bewildered young boy, a pointy-eared "Kal-Elf," and what appears to be a dying world exploding in the background. Morazzo's clean, expressive linework — colored with real wit by Chris O'Halloran — makes this collaborative team one to watch, and "What Never Happened to… the Man of Tomorrow?" is a tagline that practically dares you to pick it up.
