May 2016 · DC · 3.99 USD
“Coming of the Supermen, Part 2”

"Coming of the Supermen, Part 2" delivers a pulse-pounding escalation in Neal Adams’ gripping Superman story, where the Man of Steel confronts Kalibak and Steppenwolf in a brutal clash that reveals the shocking truth behind the so-called "Supermen"—Kandorians in hiding. As Superman grapples with the implications of Lex Luthor’s sinister blood experiments and an Apokoliptian theft disguised as an attack, a sudden, violent intrusion from Kalibak throws everything into chaos, leaving Superman with a new hostage and a deeper mystery to unravel. The issue’s stark, dynamic artwork by Neal Adams—pencils, inks, and colors by the legendary team—anchors every moment in visceral intensity, while the cover by Adams himself captures the confrontation’s raw, urgent energy.

Another attack by Kalibak, this time accompanied by Steppenwolf, brings Superman face-to-face with the "Supermen," who are actually Kandorians. After the fight, while having their wounds treated, Superman realizes Luthor is collecting their Kryptonian blood and also that the Apokoliptian attack was actually a diversion for stealing a red sun mote from Luthor. But before Superman can respond to that information, Kalibak crashes through on his way home to Apokolips, with a hostage in tow.
