With help from Roberta, Superman tracks down the Klan to rescue Lois, Perry, and Inspector Henderson. The Klan is captured but Grand Scorpion Matt Riggs escapes and meets with the Grand Imperial Mogul, Dr. Wilson, who reveals to Matt that the Klan is motivated more by greed than by hatred. Superman is visited by images of Jor-El and Lara, and learns the true extent of his powers. Feeling betrayed by the Klan, Matt attacks the Unity House charity baseball game. Superman arrives, but Matt uses Kryptonite to weaken him. Roberta helps Superman overcome the Kryptonite and defeat Matt.
