“Alone”

In "Alone," Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman enlist Barda to help infiltrate Apokolips and rescue Kara, but their mission quickly fractures. Trapped on the war-torn planet, the team is scattered—Wonder Woman and Barda captured, Batman seemingly dead—leaving Superman to confront Kara, who now stands beside Darkseid, her loyalty to her cousin in question. A powerful, emotionally charged story by Jeph Loeb and Michael Turner, with striking art by Turner and vibrant colors by Peter Steigerwald, this issue delivers a tense, intimate look at family, identity, and the cost of survival, all framed by Turner’s dynamic cover.
