In a 1971 tale from Superman #8, Superman confronts a catastrophic Kryptonite reactor explosion, hurling him into the desert where he leaves a lasting imprint in the sand. Though weakened by the blast, he discovers the green mineral no longer affects him—marking a turning point in his powers. As Clark Kent, he’s sent by Morgan Edge to cover a rocket launch, impressing the media mogul with his reporting and earning a spot on television. The story ends with a mysterious, energy-filled Sand Being rising from the footprint, echoing the Man of Steel’s presence.
In "Reise um die Welt in 8 Tagen," Batman and Robin race against the clock to recover a stolen experimental drug before it’s too late—only to find the stolen goods scattered across the globe, hidden with different fences in far-flung locations. With just eight days to track down each piece and return it to the hospital, the Dynamic Duo must navigate international intrigue, narrow escapes, and the ticking of a deadly deadline.
