Superman #705
In "Grounded Part Four: Visitation Rights," Superman journeys across America, drawn to a small Illinois town where a child’s desperate hope might be his only true connection. As he walks through Chicago and Mt. Prospect, he’s met with silence—until one boy, battered and afraid, dares to cry out. The moment Superman answers, he’s haunted by dreams of a violent fight, waking to find bruises that don’t match any known blow. Written by J. Michael Straczynski and illustrated by Wellington Dias and Eddy Barrows, with inks by J. P. Mayer and Eber Ferreira, colors by Rod Reis, and letters by John J. Hill, the issue’s cover by John Cassaday captures the weight of a hero walking not just a road, but a reckoning.
