Superman #687
In "Power and Weakness," Superman's absence leaves Mon-El stepping into the role of protector, proving his worth alongside the Science Police as they take down Shrapnel—only for General Lane to uncover a startling truth about Mon-El's origins. Meanwhile, Jimmy consults Zatara after witnessing magic in a battle involving Atlas, and Jim Harper assembles a secret team to rescue Tellus, all while Mon-El's powers vanish mid-flight, leaving him vulnerable. Written by James Robinson and illustrated by Renato Guedes, with inks by Jose Wilson Magalhaes, colors by David Curiel, and letters by John J. Hill, the issue's cover by Andrew Robinson captures the moment of crisis with striking intensity.
