Superman dives into a frigid ocean current to rescue his perpetually exasperating colleague Steve Lombard, only to be drawn into a mystery when Steve’s young nephew, Jamie Lombard, claims his missing father reached out with a dire warning. With Lois Lane and Dr. Lombard in tow, the trio ventures beneath the Arctic ice in search of the fabled realm of Miros, a hidden world of reptilian humanoids said to hold the key to the warnings—and possibly the source of the danger itself.

Superboy answers a desperate call from the future, just as Lana Lang leans in for a kiss—only to be pulled into a timeline where the long-dead Legionnaire Waldwolf has returned. When Waldwolf confronts the Earth's Chancellor, his sudden violence sends shockwaves through the Legion, forcing Superboy and Mon-El to intervene before the past is rewritten.

When Waldwolf appears to have recovered from his past afflictions, Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes welcome him back—only for eerie nighttime visits to the Legion's headquarters to reveal a hidden danger. As Saturngirl investigates strange movements in the building, she’s captured by the cunning Tyr, leaving the team to confront a threat that may be more than it seems.
