Superman #22/1973
In "Die Nacht hat tausend Schrecken," Bruce Wayne lands in Gotham City with a private jet, only to face a routine check by "Bomber" Smith at customs—seemingly uneventful, yet something about the encounter lingers. Later, he visits a wealthy man, unaware that a drug-like powder in his suitcase has already begun affecting him, triggering an unexpected fear of darkness. Written by Frank Robbins and illustrated by Bob Brown with inks by Frank Giacoia, this 1973 issue features a haunting cover by Nick Cardy.
