Superman #19/1977
In "Wenn die Phantome rasen," Supergirl answers a desperate call from her cousin Superman, who’s trapped in the Phantom Zone—only to discover that Faora has hijacked a dimensional projector to unleash every criminal from the Zone into the real world, banishing Earth’s entire population to the prison dimension. With the projector destroyed and no way out, Superman must face a tide of super-powered foes, while the fate of humanity hangs in the balance. Written by Cary Bates and brought to life by Curt Swan’s iconic art, with inks by Tex Blaisdell and colors by Jerry Serpe, this 1977 classic features a cover by Curt Swan and Neal Adams that captures the chaos perfectly.
