The cover says it all — "Welcome to the Crucible Academy: Lesson 1: Survive" — and Supergirl looks like she's taking that lesson seriously, lunging forward with a battle cry while two snarling, wolf-like creatures close in on either side. Emanuela Lupacchino's cover art crackles with kinetic energy, capturing a Kara who looks fierce, determined, and more than ready for whatever this deadly academy throws at her. Part 3 of the Crucible arc, written by K. Perkins and Mike Johnson with interior art also by Lupacchino, promises a New 52 Supergirl story firmly in survival-mode territory.
