“Dad Kent's Delusions”

A classroom full of students dressed in Superman-style super-suits makes for one of the most charmingly absurd cover scenarios of 1956, with poor Clark Kent — conspicuously out of uniform in his sweater and bow tie — facing a puzzled teacher who wants to know why he alone didn't comply. Curt Swan's pencils (inked by Ray Burnley) capture the deadpan comedy perfectly, every desk occupied by a pint-sized caped figure while Clark squirms in the spotlight. This ten-cent DC gem also promises a story titled "Dad Kent's Delusions" plus a bonus "How to Improve Your Roller-Skating!" feature, making it a wonderfully packed package.
