This 100-page Super Spectacular offers tremendous value for half a dollar, packing a full century of story and art between its covers. Nick Cardy's cover presents a confident young Superboy standing center stage, arms outstretched to display two large inset panels — one teasing "Clark Kent's Super-Father!" and another promising "Superboy's Balloon Trick" — while a crowd of colorful costumed figures watches from the background. With Bob Haney writing and Bruno Premiani handling both pencils and inks on the interior, this 1972 anthology-style issue is a fine slice of what DC's oversized format did best.
