Part of DC's New 52 initiative, this May 2013 issue puts Superboy front and center in a genuinely unsettling cover by Brett Booth and Norm Rapmund — the red-and-black-suited hero clutches his own face with a wild, unhinged grin while a swirling psychedelic vortex surrounds him, filled with eerie pale green disembodied heads mirroring his manic expression. The tagline "Driven Psycho!" says it all about the mental chaos on display. With a creative team including writers Scott Lobdell, Tony Lee, and Tom DeFalco alongside artists R.B. Silva and Iban Coello, this is a compelling chapter in the New 52 Superboy saga.
