The Scarecrow stands front and center on this 1980 DC cover, gleefully brandishing a bag of loot while taunting the entire Super Friends team — Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Superman, Aquaman, Black Vulcan, and the Huntress — who are visibly struggling to act against him. The cover dialogue tells the story with delicious economy: the villain knows his fear-inducing power has the heroes paralyzed, and he's daring them to stop him.
