“Peace at Any Price”

In "Peace at Any Price," the DeCoffin family’s arrival next door to Super Duck kicks off a chain of escalating chaos, starting with Fauntleroy’s cross-eyed bear and its increasingly disruptive stick-retrieval antics. When the bear’s pranks finally push Dr. DeCoffin to his limit, he takes a drastic—and explosive—step to restore quiet, with consequences that send Super Duck’s world flying apart. Written and illustrated by Al Fagaly, this 1951 classic showcases his signature blend of slapstick and surreal humor, with a cover by Fagaly that captures the moment of detonation in bold, energetic lines.
