In the dusty heat of a traveling circus, a former animal trainer named Kessler is drawn into a dangerous game when the Barlow brothers hire him to sabotage Clyde's cage car. Chaos erupts as he sets the car ablaze and frees a lioness—only to be attacked in turn. With the circus in disarray, Clyde and José track the lioness to a hidden den, where they discover not just her, but two newborn kittens. As secrets unravel and old loyalties are tested, Kessler’s confession forces Clyde to confront the Barlows and put an end to their schemes.
