Sun #170 is an anthology comic featuring multiple stories. "Moko the Mischievous Monk" is a slapstick comic strip in which the titular monk repeatedly interacts with a large golden bell, causing it to explode in various comedic ways. "The Joker's Fun Page" is a reader-submitted joke competition offering pocket money prizes for jokes that make the editor laugh, with example jokes from readers across the UK. "My Pal Wagger" follows a boy named Ned who, with his dog Wagger's help, rescues a drowning girl named Gypsy Joe from a stream and later helps her and her grandmother find shelter and employment. "Tommy's Magic Whistle" chronicles Tommy Brown, a schoolboy who discovers a magical whistle that summons a genie to help him write school assignments, leading to magical chaos when the whistle is used at a royal tea party.
