Two massive, cracked stone-like figures dominate the foreground against a deep-space backdrop, their expressions ranging from serene to snarling — a quietly unsettling contrast that speaks to the cosmic scale Mike Carey and Elena Casagrande have built over twenty issues. A lone caped figure soars between them against a luminous full moon and the curve of the Earth, looking almost fragile beside those towering presences. Suicide Risk continues to push its superhero world into genuinely strange territory, and this 2014 Boom! Studios installment looks like one of the series' most visually striking chapters yet.
