An anthology of science fiction and mystery tales. "The Stardust Queen" follows Gordon, a wealthy young man recruited to pose as a traveler aboard a spaceship carrying the beautiful Nadine Grail, daughter of Earth's president, on a visit to Venus; the ship encounters a wreck, and Gordon is assigned to guard Nadine while the crew investigates, though only Nadine and space captain Grant know his real identity. Another story depicts a jewelry store owner in Gansonville who encounters small alien creatures spawned from a purple light, which invade his shop after closing time and overwhelm him despite his attempts at resistance. A third tale involves the mystery of Professor Carson, whose laboratory exploded and whose body was never found; his twin children Philip and Brenda, now nineteen years old, are reported missing, prompting Captain Wilks of the Star Queen to launch an investigation through the Interplanetary Detective Bureau.

Radium Monsters
6 pp · Science Fiction

Georg Garron never expected an asteroid rich with pure radite to bring chaos—but when a band of escaped Earth criminals, transformed into glowing monsters by a decade of radiation exposure, invades Mars with an army of radioactive creatures, he and Laura Blair find themselves taken hostage and hauled toward the very asteroid that was supposed to save two worlds. Now stranded on an alien world where radiation runs rampant and Rokk's ultimatum threatens Earth and Mars with conquest, Georg must find a way to stop the invasion before it's too late.

Ransom--One Million Decimars
6 pp · Science Fiction

When World Federation undercover agent Mike Gordon is assigned to secretly protect the President's daughter Nadine Grail aboard the starship Stardust Queen, a mysterious villain named Anders Zorn stages a daring mutiny and kidnapping—demanding one million decimars for her safe return. Stranded on the airless Moon with nothing but his wits and determination, Gordon must track down the ruthless Venusian before the ransom exchange goes through.

World of the Monster Brain
6 pp · Science Fiction

Grandfather shares a harrowing tale of the night he was abducted by mysterious metal creatures into a bizarre fourth-dimensional world—a realm where enslaved humans toil endlessly to feed a colossal, disembodied monster brain and its robotic servants. Trapped in the rock-pits alongside fellow slaves Elto and Aza, he must devise a desperate plan to overthrow the tyrant that rules this alien domain. A cautionary story about greed wrapped in science-fiction suspense, "World of the Monster Brain" shows why possessing everything might not be a blessing after all.

Mystery of Asteroid 9
7 pp · Science Fiction

When passenger ships mysteriously vanish along the space route to Mars, Jim Fanning of Earth's Interplanetary Emergency Bureau boards the Star Queen undercover to investigate—only to discover that two young passengers, the Carson twins, may hold the key to a deadly weapon hidden somewhere on the bleak Asteroid 9. As Fanning pieces together the truth about their missing father and a villain known as the Lone Wolf, he must race to stop a desperate attack before another ship meets a grim fate.
