Strange Worlds #1 is an anthology of science fiction and fantasy tales. "Dead Man's Tale" follows an undertaker who recounts how Mr. Morgan, a society man, was mysteriously found dead during a fox hunt; the story reveals the supernatural circumstances surrounding his demise and his involvement with a safe containing unknown contents. "War of the Marsh-Men" depicts Nesus, a warrior besieged by marsh-dwelling enemies, and includes scenes of combat and survival in a hostile alien landscape. Additional stories advertised on the cover include "The Corsairs from the Coalsack" and "The Spider God of Akka," featuring adventure and conflict in fantastical settings.
