“Who Dwells Below?”

In "Who Dwells Below?", a chemist stands accused of murder after his partner is found dead at the bottom of the stairs, but he swears he’s innocent—claiming he was using his invisibility potion to rob a bank. With no proof but his word and a burned formula, he’s trapped in a desperate race to clear his name, while the truth lies just beneath the surface. Written and illustrated by John Tartaglione with lettering by Joe Letterese, this 1957 tale of science, suspicion, and unseen danger features a striking cover by Carl Burgos.

Police arrest a chemist for murdering his partner when they find his body at the bottom of the stairs and he had left a note indicating that they had quarreled. The thing is, he did not kill him. He was busy using his invisibility potion to rob the bank but he is unable to convince the police to believe his alibi since he burned the money and formula when he saw the police approaching.
