A red vintage automobile seems to have a mind of its own in this 1961 Charlton anthology, as the cover — penciled and inked by Steve Ditko — shows the old-fashioned car rolling along a desert road with a lone figure seated inside, while two alarmed onlookers watch from a framed inset above. The story title "Car with a Memory" sets an eerie, unsettling tone perfectly suited to the Strange Suspense Stories brand. Writer Joe Gill and artist Bill Molno (inked by Vince Alascia) round out the creative team on the interior tale "Star Gazer," making this a nicely packed ten-cent package of mid-century chills.
