In "Qui est cette femme ?", Lt. Monica Rambeau of the New Orleans harbor patrol steps in when her grandfather's friend, Andre LeClare, is threatened by a rogue weapon created from his research. After a blast at an offshore oil rig grants her unexpected energy powers, she leaves her job to become the hero Captain Marvel. Weeks later, struggling with the growing energy inside her, she seeks help at the Baxter Building—only to find Mr. Fantastic away—before turning to Iron Man at Avengers Mansion, who helps her safely release the dangerous surplus. Written by Roger Stern and illustrated by John Romita Jr. with inks by John Romita and colors by Stan Goldberg, this issue features a striking cover by Ciro Tota.

Lt. Monica Rambeau of the New Orleans harbor patrol helps her grandfather's friend, Andre LeClare, after his former assistant used his research to create a weapon at an offshore oil rig. Rambeau causes the weapon to explode which gives her energy powers and she quits the harbor patrol to become the hero, Captain Marvel. Weeks later, the excess energy she absorbed at the oil rig has been building inside her. She travels to the Baxter Building to get Mr. Fantastic's help but, upon learning he is away, goes to Avengers Mansion where Iron Man is able to siphon off the dangerous excess energy.
