Strange Adventures #152

A green-skinned, robed conqueror hovers above a city street on a flying saucer, declaring his first act as ruler of Earth will be to transform every human into a Martian — and the crowd below already shows the unsettling results, faces and skin taking on that eerie alien cast. Murphy Anderson's crisp linework gives the scene a wonderfully unnerving spectacle, blending Silver Age sci-fi paranoia with pure visual bravado. Strange Adventures #152 is a fine snapshot of DC's 1963 appetite for big, bold "what if the aliens won?" concepts.
