A sideshow barker hawks his alien "freaks" to a bewildered crowd on this December 1951 cover by Gil Kane — three extraterrestrials with distinctly otherworldly anatomy stand on display, one two-headed, one four-armed, while their speech bubble hints at a chilling agenda hidden beneath their carnival act. The featured story, "The Strange Sideshow of Dr. Schill," promises the kind of imaginative science-fiction twist that made Strange Adventures one of DC's most compelling anthology titles of the era. With interior art by Murphy Anderson, this is a fine snapshot of early-'50s comics at their most entertainingly strange.
