This December 1955 issue of Magazine Enterprises' long-running Western series puts Straight Arrow front and center in a thrillingly dynamic pose — leaping atop a stone wall, tomahawk raised and a rifle at his feet, red-fringed outfit and feathered headband vivid against the action. Two adversaries clamber up from below while his loyal horse and a snarling wolf look on from either side, framing a cover that practically crackles with energy. Fred Meagher's clean, expressive linework brings every detail to life, making this a fine representative issue of the series heading into its final stretch.
