The opening tale follows Straight Arrow's battle with a two-faced villain and Sheriff Tar, where Straight Arrow works to recover stolen cattle and resolve a drought crisis by herding cattle to the mountains before the snow arrives. The second story, "Fangs of the Wild," recounts a young buffalo named Greysides who is separated from his herd during a Cheyenne attack, wounded by arrows and horses, and must survive alone in the wilderness as he struggles onward through a canyon, weakened by blood loss and pain.
When a devastating drought grips the territory and ruthless outlaws strike a pioneer wagon train, Steve Adams organizes the townspeople to hunt down the raiders—but he'll need to call upon his alter ego, Straight Arrow, to track the gang to their hidden mountain hideout before they can prey on another caravan of settlers. With his golden stallion Fury at his side, the masked hero races to intercept the outlaws and protect the innocent families they're targeting.
When settlers accuse the Comanche of brutal raids and demand their removal, Steve Adams—who harbors a secret Comanche heritage—suspects treachery is afoot. Racing to investigate before a federal judge can be swayed, Adams uncovers a conspiracy to frame the tribe and seize their ancestral lands, forcing him to ride as Straight Arrow to expose the true culprits and defend the innocent people wrongly accused.
When a horse herd vanishes from Fort Danger in a midnight raid, Indian Agent Mutrin blames the Comanches—until Steve Adams suspects someone else is behind the theft. When Mutrin stumbles onto the real culprit, a cunning white horse thief named Lint Travis, things turn deadly, and Steve must transform into Straight Arrow to untangle the frame-up before innocent Comanches pay the price for Travis's crimes.
