Stormwatch: Team Achilles #10

Stormwatch: Team Achilles #10 brings the WildStorm series to a fever pitch with a cover by Whilce Portacio that says everything with one desperate image: a man in blue coveralls, armed and wide-eyed, scrambles forward as spent shell casings rain down around him. Looming behind him is a crowd of armored and superhuman figures — some threatening, some indistinct — pressing in from every angle, making the title "Run" feel entirely earned. Micah Ian Wright's writing and Portacio's kinetic linework made this 2003 series a compelling look at a very human team operating in a world of gods, and this issue looks like one of their harder days.
