Erik Craddock's Stone Rabbit: BC Mambo kicks off this all-ages graphic novel series with a cover bursting with prehistoric chaos — the plucky rabbit hero stands front and center, surrounded by a rowdy crew of dinosaurs including a long-necked sauropod, a triceratops, a pterodactyl, and a feisty blue raptor-type, with an adventurous bunny-riding-a-dinosaur cameo up top for good measure. The cartooning is lively and genuinely funny-looking, hitting that sweet spot between silly and action-packed that makes it easy to see why young readers gravitate to it.
