This December 1996 Milestone/DC issue delivers one of the more unsettling covers in the Static run — the young hero lies sprawled on the pavement in his orange rain slicker, battered and bloodied, while a ring of onlookers' feet and legs crowd in from above, creating a striking ground-level perspective that makes you feel the vulnerability of the moment. The story title "Love Bites, Part Two: Rest in Pieces" promises that whatever trouble Static has gotten into, it's not letting up anytime soon.
