Star Wars: Mace Windu #5

The five-issue Jedi of the Republic miniseries reaches its finale with a cover by Rod Reis that captures the heat of battle beautifully — Mace Windu stands at the center, Force-hand raised and blue lightsaber ignited, while a green-bladed Jedi teammate engages below and another leaps through the fiery background above, all pressing hard against a squad of armored battle droids. Reis's warm, painterly palette gives the whole scene an almost watercolor intensity that suits the chaos of Clone Wars-era conflict. With Matt Owens writing and Denys Cowan on interior art, this is a satisfying capstone to a story putting one of the Jedi Order's most formidable Masters front and center.
